ratings pedigree (past vintages):
winemaker's notes:
The wine is typical, defined by a pure fruit and a very beautiful aromatic definition. There are touch of exotic fruits like mango, but also draws on the lemon confit. Floral nose of angelica dominates. We recognize also the peppermint character of Guiraud. On the palate the wine is clear, has a nice acidity, plays a perfect balance. It is a great Sauternes as we love produced!
critical acclaim:
"Firm, richly structured, powered through with botrytis, a dried apricot and peach character, which is tight, the acidity compensating with a great vivid character.

Wine Enthusiast
"The 2008 Guiraud has a subtle, nuanced nose with touches of acacia, apricot, citrus fruits and a touch of limestone. The palate is crisp and honeyed on the entry, cohesive, nice weight of fruit with a conservative but well-defined finish of citrus lemon, apricot and honeydew melon. Good length. Very fine – great drive and passion here. Range: 91-93"

The Wine Advocate
"A ripe, flashy style, with layers of creamed peach, Jonagold apple, candied citrus peel and dried apricot, all stitched with lovely acacia honey and floral notes. This has power and purity. Drink now through 2022. 3,500 cases made."
