Its strong acidity, minerality, exotic stone fruit aromas and rich, luscious mouthfeel mark this as an exceptional vintage. Aromas of ripe melons, peaches, green apples and orange blossom are counter pointed by flavors of hazelnuts and oak vanillin, creating tension and balance simultaneously in this wine.
Chalone Pinot Blanc is the perfect pairing for "comfort foods" such as homemade macaroni and cheese, fried chicken with mashed potatoes or coq au vin. On the other side of the spectrum, the firm acidity and our unique minerality from the limestone soil allow this wine to pair well with raw oysters, shellfish, risotto or pasta in cream sauce.
