Alcohol By Volume Guide

  • 10%
  • 16+%
Most wine ranges from 10-16% alcohol by volume. Some varietals tend to have higher (for example Zinfandel and Cabernet Sauvignon) or lower alcohol levels (Pinot Noir and many white varietals), but there is always some variation from producer to producer. Some wine falls outside of this range, for instance Port weighs in closer to 20%, while Muscat and Riesling are usually a bit below 10%.

Winemaker's Notes

From the sun drenched South of France, Chateau de Lunes is the pure expression of this splendid region. Notes of black and red fruits meld with the unique wild herb notes of the local "garrigue" - thyme, rosemary, sage, lavender. Chateau de Lunes employs many sustainable farming practices in the vineyard including no pesticides or fertilizers. A delicious wine with rich red fruits and garrigue aromas. Pairs perfectly with Mediterranean style dishes and any outdoor meal.

The blend is carefully crafted to capture the best combination of aromas, flavor and balance. 50% Syrah, 35% Grenache, 15% Mouvedre
