Black Dog is incredibly smooth and mellow with a nice finish. It has become my house red, I always stock it by the case. I was a Chardonnay drinker before I discovered Black Dog. It has been a nice bridge to my appreciation of other red wines as well.

Unbelievably smooth red wine. Clean and crisp, delicious with steaks, Italian and even Mexicand fare.
I first tried Black Dog at The Plains, Virginia wine festival, I too have been hooked ever since.

I first tried Black Dog at the TownPoint Park Festival in 1993 and have been hooked ever since. Each years' vintage seems better and better. This wine has a buttery, rich taste but finishes cleanly. I like it with steaks, red sauces, or just to drink with friends. Well worth the per bottle price, but the case price here gets you almost two bottles free compared to shelf prices here locally.
