red wine style:
Light & Fruity Smooth & Supple Earthy & Spicy Big & Bold
winemaker's notes:

Feminine and delightful due to the dominance of the Merlot. An excellent accompaniment to white and red meats and game, as well as to almond, caramel, vanilla and red fruits desserts.

critical acclaim:

"A big time sleeper of the vintage, the 2004 Gazin exhibits aromas of cedar wood, plum pudding, sweet cherries, figs, and black currants. Medium to full-bodied, pure, and elegant with substantial depth as well as terrific aging potential, it should be at its peak between 2009-2022."

rating (1/17/2011):
Overall, just a lovely bottle of wine offering all the beautiful things expected in a merlot based Pomerol and at a reasonable price. Soft and pleasant nose, delicate full flavors, long finish that was not harsh. We enjoyed this wine over two hours, and it got smoother over the time.
