We have added the following products to your shopping cart from a previous visit:
Red wines that are more fruit-forward and lighter in tannin and body.

Full bodied wines that have concentrated fruit and are higher in alcohol and/or tannins. Some need age.
The 2007 Catena Alta Malbec is a dark, opaque violet color and presents ripe berry fruit and wild flower aromas on the nose as well as cinnamon spice and a touch of citrus. The mouthfeel is full and rich offering a coating sensation, with exceptional weight and concentration but with a soft, supple texture. Mid-palate flavors of cassis and black currant along with hints of chocolate, vanilla and black pepper dance nicely into the lingering finish full of finely grained tannins, minerality and lively acidity.
"Ripe and concentrated, boasting vibrant aromas and flavors of crushed blackberry, raspberry and cassis, which unfold to reveal layers of spice, licorice and sweet oak as hints of graphite fill the long, juicy finish. This has power, but is well-balanced. Drink now through 2012. "
"One sniff tells you plenty; there's attractive spice, coffee and leather to go with rich molasses and broad black-fruit aromas. The palate maintains balance due to fine, fresh acidity, and the flavor profile brings mocha, coffee, berry, plum and toast. Delicious, deep layered and refined. Will age for at least 5-6 years, but best from 2012-14."
"The 2007 Alta Malbec is a glass-coating opaque purple color with an inviting perfume of balsam wood, clove, cinnamon, lavender, black cherry and black raspberry. More structured and with greater density and aging potential than the "regular" bottling, it can be cellared for 5-7 years and will provide a drinking window extending from 2013 to 2022"
The Wine Advocate
"Saturated medium bright ruby. Blackberry, licorice, minerals, mocha and bitter chocolate on the vibrant nose. Thick but lively on entry, then densely packed and supple in the middle palate. A creamy-sweet fruit bomb with terrific breadth and length. The tannins are suave and sweet."
International Wine Cellar
"This is an imposing malbec, full of black fruit aromas and flavors riding over an immense structure. The ambitious scale of the wine is matched by wild tannins that need time in bottle to integrate with the fruit. Tame this beast with a rib eye."

(ahr-jen-TEE-nah) Now fifth in the world for wine production, Argentina is catching up in the quality wine sector. A long time wine producer, Argentina used to make wine in order to drink it, not export it. And so the wines produced were quaffable and rustic and made for the local's everyday dinner. Yet it's hard not to get caught up in the wine market of the world and some...Read More About Argentina
