The wine shows a deep ruby red color and nuances of ruby red, little transparency. The nose reveals intense, clean and pleasing aromas of black cherry, blueberry, plum, carob and violet followed by pleasing aromas of walnut-husk. "The estate's 2009 Montepulciano d'Abruzzo is a big, juicy wine bursting with red fruit. This mouth-filling, generous red delivers tons of pleasure for a very reasonable tariff. The radiant finish makes it hard to resist a second taste. The straight Montepulciano is another standout from Cataldi Madonna. Anticipated maturity: 2011-2014. "
