winemaker's notes:

"Medium straw. Brisk, fresh aromas of citrus, hay and lemon thyme. Firm and tight, with juicy citrus and honeydew flavors and suggestions of fresh herbs. Finishes incisive and long, with a bright lemon character and a suave, supple texture. This is a 50/50 blend but shows much more zesty sauvignon than waxy semillon character today."

A fresh zippy wine with the characteristic lemon and limey aromas of semillon infused with the nettle and gooseberry of sauvignon, underpinned with just the faintest suggestion of vanillin oak. The palate has perfect balance, full and textural, yet finishing with mouth cleansing acidity that carries the citrus and herb flavours all the way.
