Winemaker's Notes

This Cabernet Sauvignon comes from a small area of alluvial hillsides and rocky red soils of Calina's El Maiten estate.

A very complex nose where red fruits such as cherry are melted with soft hints of mint and elegant toasty notes of oak. Thanks to a restrictive growth of the vines, between rocks and poor soil, the mouthfeel is distinctive with a great structure, strong and ripe tannins bringing a daring character to the balance of freshness and fruity ripeness. Chocolate and mocha notes appear in the lingering finish.

Either way, this grape is responsible, as a whole or a partner, for some of the greatest wines in the world. In Bordeaux,...
