Alcohol By Volume Guide

  • 10%
  • 16+%
Most wine ranges from 10-16% alcohol by volume. Some varietals tend to have higher (for example Zinfandel and Cabernet Sauvignon) or lower alcohol levels (Pinot Noir and many white varietals), but there is always some variation from producer to producer. Some wine falls outside of this range, for instance Port weighs in closer to 20%, while Muscat and Riesling are usually a bit below 10%.

Winemaker's Notes

The wine is light straw in color with green highlights. Aromas of gooseberry, stone fruits and red capsicum characterize the nose with the palate showing ripe gooseberry supported by peach notes and a tantalizing minerality. This wine shows a fantastic equilibrium of concentrated fruit flavors and zesty acidity.

Critical Acclaim

"Pale, bright yellow. Lively aromas of lemon, lime, orange peel and flowers. Supple and sweet, with a slightly honeyed quality to the citrus flavors. Finishes broad and dry, with a faint warmth."

Decent SB when you can get it under $12. A little on the tart side and not a great finish, but decent.
