Brampton Rose 2006

As a reviewer before me noted, I am also a mostly-red wine drinker. I have not had a lot of luck with roses, and this one came as a wine.com club selection. Usually I find roses to be too tart and watery, this one was full of flavor, mildly sweet and even held up with ice cubes in it (I know, but I couldn't wait for it to chill down to drink the first glass!). High alcohol, but flavorful and fruity nonetheless. I am hosting a wedding shower for a friend, and will be serving this wine as a refreshment for the guests!

I am a huge red wine fan, and very seldom do I buy or drink whites. When summer came this year, I thought a few whites would be good to add to my collection. The first one came this weekend, and was pleasantly shocked to see it was a rose. I was eager to try it and was happy after I did. It's very fruit forward with great summer flavors. A nice dry wine that's not sicky sweet but fresh and crisp. Must be kept very very cold for best flavor. High alcohol content, so be prepared for a "kick". I dropped a few frozen berries in it for some extra chill and flavor. Great wine to enjoy at the adult picnic or late night on the deck! Will be ordering a few more bottles for the summer!
