winemaker's notes:

Once again in this exceptional vintage Bonterra has layered sister White Rhone varietals Marsanne and Roussanne to the blend, adding a dimension of complexity. Marsanne provides a rich texture and green apple flavor, while Roussanne contributes pear and haunting floral notes.

As you begin to drink, powerful aromas of freshly sliced harvest peach, hints of honeysuckle and an exotic note of jasmine dominate. Peaches and cream remain a sensory signature of this wine. Complex fruit flavors of apricot and peach are overlaid with notes of oak vanilla. Balance and elegance will become the watchword for this vintage. The wine is crisp, yet creamy, a grand alternative to everyday whites.

critical acclaim:

"Clean and bright in crisp, steely acidity, this delightful white wine has complex, exotic flavors of tropical fruits, wildflowers, vanilla and spices. It’s great by itself and with savory appetizers. — Editors' Choice, Wine Enthusiast "

rating (9/29/2010):

love this wine, I am not a huge fan of whites, but this one grabs my attention. I like the buzz of tiny bubbles on my tongue, heavy on the apple and slightly dry.
rating (9/29/2010):
Nose: Bright, Crisp, Creamy, maybe even buttery with a good amount of acidity and a very floral bouquet. Pallet : Fruity but not overwhelmingly fruity. Hints of peach and pear, citrus, bright summer fruits, forward crisp green apple, very subtle spice. Great mix of flavors. For me the crisp green apple is really the predominant flavor followed by the others. The forward apple flavor reminds me of Bulmers Irish cider dry yet not to dry. Being my first bottle of wine ever, I was not expecting it to be such a pleasant experience.

The Merlot isn't listed on this site! So we'll review the Merlot 2007 under this wine. Color: Deep red, Purple hues, Alizarin crimson! -- Aroma: Cedar, sugary rhubarb pie, figs, dates -- Mouthfeel: thin weight, dry on the tongue, satin -- Taste: Chocolate covered cherries, black current, raisins, blackberry -- Finish: low in tannins, the bitterness stays to the very back of the tongue
