winemaker's notes:
We have a couple of new tricks up our sleeves this year with Muscat. We have added a more generous proporion of malvasia, including a lot that was concentrated by a different technique - the very romantic process of reverse osmosis. We also fermented the various lots with differing yeast strains in the hopes of attaining incrementally greater complexity, using one yeastie-beastie of the Teutonic stripe and on sauternais, recapitulating the age-old dichotomous agon but in this case, it was the microflora who were battling it out. Once again we trot out all of the usual suspects: pineapple, peach, pear and litchi. A rich, decadent style, not unlike the 1998, we invite you to chill with another classic wine of the icebox.

A Customer - Southern Illinois
I received my Bonny Doon Muscat Vin de Glaciere yesterday and my evaluation of it is grade A. The combination of all of the fruits, apricot,pineapple,tangerine and the rest were wonderful. My wife and I tried it with apple slices and a creamy soft cheese and all I can say is that it was perfect for the occation. I tried just sipping it to conserve since it is only a half bottle but it was useless because it was so smooth and wonderful so it was gone in a matter of minutes. I truly believe it would go great with anything, but I think with a dinner of scallops, shrimp, and lobster would be awesome. In conclusion I recommend this one for anyone that enjoys a sweeter (but not overly sweet) wine to get this one. I also have ordered 4 more bottles yesterday and can't wait until I get them and when that is gone I plan on a case. A+ here.
