winemaker's notes:
Barrel fermentation, sur lie aging and malolactic fermentation have produced a Chardonnay with layers of complexity and depth. Upon raising a glass of this 1998 vintage, aromas of pears, apples, and a touch of butterscotch flood the senses. Generous and thick on the palate, this Chardonnay gives a lingering finish of tropical fruit framed in spicy oak.
