Winemaker's Notes

The growing season of 1998 was cool throughout but those growers with the nerve to hold off picking Cabernet until late October were rewarded with excellent characteristics. The concentration of cassis aromas is buoyed by a bright cherry note from the Cabernet Franc. Mouth filling flavors of fruits, spice and oak come together in a well rounded, lingering finish.
