Blackstone Sonoma Reserve Pinot Noir 2007
Pinot Noir
from Sonoma County, California
winemaker's notes:
The Blackstone Sonoma Reserve Pinot Noir 2007 has distinctive aromas of dried cherries, currant,
and cranberries. In the mouth, supple red fruit flavors and a hint of vanilla and spice complement
the fleshy mouthfeel and silky long finish. Delicate notes of orange rind and oak toast are also
noticeable in the finish. This Pinot Noir is a fantastic pairing for steamed sea bass, smoked chicken,
or seafood salad.
Blackstone sources its Sonoma Reserve Pinot Noir from some of California's finest regions for Pinot
Noir: Russian River Valley, Sonoma Coast, and Sonoma Valley. Each appellation contributes a
dimension of flavor and complexity that results in a sublime expression of Sonoma County Pinot
Noir. Russian River Valley and Sonoma Coast enjoy a cooling maritime influence that yields grapes with notable depth of flavor, structure, and acidity, while the warmer Sonoma Valley contributes fruit that is rich, round, and complex.
