Blackstone Sonoma Reserve Chardonnay 2008
Chardonnay
from Sonoma County, California
winemaker's notes:
At Blackstone's Kenwood winery in Sonoma Valley, winemaker Gary Sitton focuses on
crafting wines that express the geographic diversity and essence of Sonoma County. The
Sonoma Reserve wines represent the finest growers and vineyards of the region, and they
embody the accessible, fruit-forward and balanced style characteristics of Blackstone.
The 2007 Sonoma Reserve Chardonnay displays vibrant freshness and forward fruit.
Aromas of vanilla creme brulee, pineapple, and pear tart emerge and complement zesty
lemon, green apple, and toasty oak flavors. This crisp, elegant Chardonnay with golden
straw hues exhibits bright acidity, balance, and forward fruit. The alluringly creamy texture
in the mouth has a long and luscious finish that pairs well with lobster bisque, mild
cheeses, or flavorful chicken dishes.
