I was introduced to this wine at a Super Bowl party in late January (2002). I must say that I was suprised that my host had not saved the "best for last" as in the Bibical parable. I remember thinking that if Chic (my host) was opening his weakest wine first,two things were true, 1) I am going to be at this party a long time and 2) I am going to drink a lot of good wine tonight! The flavor is bold without over powering the oak (not quite but almost smoky oak) and dry without the pucker factor of most wines that are this dry. I highly reccomend it and if you can't find it, I will have several bottles and I might trade one for one of your favorites. ***Tasting Hint for best enjoyment, don't do a football game with a bunch of male friends--try it by the fireplace with a significant other and some jazz! MERCY!!
