Winemaker's Notes

PRODUCTION AREA:""""""""""""""""""" A single vineyard belonging to the renowned Bertani estate in the Soave Classico zone of northeast Italy's Veneto region

GRAPE VARIETIES:"""""""""""""""""""""" 60/40 Chardonnay and Garganega grapes

VINEYARDS:""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""" From the prized Le Lave vineyard, known for its mature vines and low yields. As the name Le Lave would suggest, this vineyard is rich in volcanic soil

VINIFICATION:"""""""""""""""""""""""""""""" Separate vinification of the grape varieties with partial skin contact for the Garganega at 42º F and 100% French oak fermentation for the Chardonnay (medium toast barriques, 50% new oak). The blend is aged sur lie (a process during which the wine remains in contact with the yeast) for the duration of its 10 months in small French oak casks with regular batonage, after which it is bottled and aged a six months prior to release

DESCRIPTION:""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""" Color:""""""""""" Straw with green reflections.

Bouquet:"""""""" Inviting aroma of acacia blossoms and lightly toasted almonds.

Palate:""""""""""" Dry and assertive yet elegant with a full, intense flavor and pleasingly spicy character. A graceful, elegant white wine.
