  Great Chardonnay - 9/13/2008
I would buy this wine again
Great wine. Bone dry with flint.

  Bernardus Chardonnay 2005 - 8/29/2008
I would not buy this wine again
Very disappointing. For a mid- priced chardonnay it was singularly unimpressive. No depth or complexity, and no finish whatsoever.

Oak and butter and compexity. This has become my "house" Chard. Not a fan of unoaked chards, so you gotta love butter. If you do, go for a bottle or two. It won't rock your world, but you'd be hard pressed to gather the muster to spit this one out at a tasting.

This Bernardus Chardonnay is so good. Value for money, we can't go pass this one. It is our go to on most nights and we are constantly impressed with how good it is.

  Best of 2008 so far - 2/5/2008
I would buy this wine again
Vanilla nose with a hint of citrus, golden colored but not fruity. Dry taste with acidic fine finish. Excellent paring for cheese and a light pasta in a butter and wine sauce. Brought out the flavor of seafood as well as cheese, chocolate, and pasta. Best chardonnay of the year for me so far.

For the high rating, I really expected more. Tangy and flat

This is an excellent wine. Very well balanced and appealing. Our guests, who drink Chardonnay quite frequently, thought this wine was superb.

this wine was OK but nothing great. i was disappointed. Tasted "flat", not very complex or rich. Not perfect, yet not bad either.

nothing special here. This tasted like an ordinary california chardonney to me. Very little (or no) oak, which is a plus. I found it overrated.
