For the 2006 Chardonnay, Winemaker Mary Sullivan chose to preserve the varietal's inherent fresh fruit flavors with her winemaking techniques. She used 100% Chardonnay grapes in the wine, and aged half in stainless steel barrels to maintain the fruit's brightness.
The majority of the Chardonnay was aged for 5 months in a combination of seasoned American and French oak barrels to promote a delicate balance between the oak and fruit.
The 2006 Chardonnay has bright flavors of citrus and ripe peaches, tropical aromas and a pleasing finish.
