Winemaker's Notes

The 2007 Knights Valley is redolent of blackberry, brown sugar and star anise in the nose. Its juicy fruit core, round mouthfeel and dusty tannins are perfectly expressive of the Knights Valley vineyard.

Critical Acclaim

"Firm, intense and concentrated, with spicy, loamy earth, dried berry, sage and herbal scents. Full-bodied, ending with chewy tannins and a dash of black licorice. Drink now through 2015."
88 Points

"Several other great values emerge from Beringer, including the 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon Knight’s Valley. A major sleeper of the vintage, this $27 wine will probably be marked down at discounters, making it a terrific value. This sexy North Coast Cabernet offers copious quantities of black cherry and black currant fruit intermixed with smoky barbecue, roasted herb, sweet cassis, and blackberry scents. Round and gentle with silky tannins, this is a plush red to drink over the next 5-8 years."

The atmosphere of Sonoma is decidedly laid back and down home country style. But in wines, they are keeping up with the...

Perhaps that title is due to its ability to grow worldwide in a number of climates, or to the fact that it produces wine with such character yet such diversity. Either way, this grape is responsible, as a whole or a partner, for some of the greatest wines in the world. In Bordeaux,...
