Knights Valley is a very special place for us at Beringer. As you drive over the mountain from St. Helena, the valley opens up before your eyes and you immediately feel transported to another time, where things are slower and more rustic. I always hope to do justice to the vineyard with this wine and I believe the 2006 has done so – it delivers great complexity and depth while still retaining a rough-hewn charm. It has a nice acidity, rich tannins, and a solid concentration of fruit.
"Inky black with a garnet rim. Shy aromas of plum and leather. Creamy flavors of blackberry and blueberry. Velvety tannins and hints of maple and vanilla in the blackberry-infused close."
