Winemaker's Notes

An intensely fragrant, elegant expression of the varietal, with powerful, classic Carneros aromas of blackberry and spice offset by notes of toast and vanilla, full on the palate, with superb balance of lushness and acidity set in a structure marked by supple tannins and a silky texture.

Critical Acclaim

"Deep garnet hue. A mixed bouquet of charcoal, toasted oak, cherry cola and tea. Sweet brown spice, pecan and red fruit flavors. Light, dry finish with fine tannins and a note of mocha."

Benziger produces very little of this wine so it is hard to find. Lucky for us Wine.com has it so we can all save lot's of time and gas looking for it. Not only that, the price savings is huge. This wine is far superior to most at the same price or lower. Just what you would expect in a Pinot, Nice cherry, strawberry & plum flavors with a velvety finish.
