Beaulieu Vineyard Reserve Tapestry 2000
Bordeaux Red Blends
from Napa Valley, California
winemaker's notes:
Dark ruby in color, the Tapestry's aromas evoke scents of black cherry, herbs, vanilla-oak and some black pepper. Medium-full bodied, the wine's fruit flavors are at the forefront; cherry and blackcurrant, followed by nuances of licorice, dark chocolate and peppercorn. Fleshy yet backed by firm, ripe tannins, the finish shows some torrefaction notes from the oak now, but should evolve gracefully with 4-7 years in the bottle.

I had a unique opportunity to sample a 1998 BV Tapestry Reserve, which was excellent. Sure is nice to have a family member in California to be able to acquire such good quality wine.

Oh my!
Jim Collins wrote a book "From Good to Great" ... which clearly might capture the essence of this wine ... except, this book should probably be entitled, "From Great to XXXX".
You won't be disappointed.
