Dark ruby-violet color. Strong, ripe boysenberry jam and subtle flavors consistent with the aromas, revealing rich blackberry and pepper fruit, firm but supple tannins and a touch of new oak-vanilla adding a mocha flavor to the finish. Bright, fresh and not at all "porty", the wine carries its alcohol beautifully, showing a touch of minerality that adds nuance and length.
