Fine deep ruby color. The very true varietal Merlot aromas of blackberry, herbs, cedar and mocha are highlighted by just enough toasty new oak to add subtle, smoky nuances. Medium full bodied, the flavors reveal moderately intense cherry fruit, some licorice and coffee, and a hint of herbs or anise in the finish. Mild tannins and moderate acidity add relief and give the wine a firm but rich finish adding immensely to its enjoyment with a wide range of meat, fowl, or pasta dishes.

This wine is excellent and has become one of my favorite's. An easy drinking Merlot that goes well with a hearty meal of red meat.
