Winemaker's Notes

The 2006 Beaulieu Vineyard Carneros Pinot Noir is medium-bodied, with dark plum, dried raspberry & blueberry, and hints of espresso and cocoa powder. This wine is well structured with lingering fruit and spice on the finish and gentle, rounded tannins.

An excellent food wine, Pinot Noir pairs well with a wide variety of dishes.

Clear and bright, there is still good depth in the color (2 of 2). Nice oak and spice in the nose is really promising (3 of 4). There is a pleasant introduction to a full body. Spices turn into a light fruit in good mouth feel complexity with an enjoyable finsih. (8 of 10). A very nice wine, it is approachable and tasty! TOTAL 16 of 20

I found this wine at my local beer shop, and at a great price! I have been able to have this wine several times before writing this review. On the noise, you get strong since of alcohol, spice and black berry. The palate brings leather, rounded fruit, and the lingering alcohol, complemented by light tannins. Overall i do enjoy this wine however, it was not what I had expected.
