Earthy & Spicy

Wines where earthy and/or spicy dominate the flavors – typically medium to full body.

Winemaker's Notes

It is one of the latest addition to our family. The aim is to enhance the fruit mostly from native varieties Grenache and Carignan along with some light notes of wood from its 4 months of aging in barrels.

Critical Acclaim

"The 2009 Flor d'Englora Roure is a blend of 63% Garnacha, 32% Carinena, and the balance Syrah, Merlot and Tempranillo aged in 25% new barriques (the first oak treatment for this cuvee). Dark ruby-colored, it exhibits a bouquet of smoke, mineral, espresso, Asian spices, black cherry, and plum. Savory, ripe, medium to full-bodied, and concentrated, it is an outstanding value for drinking over the next 5-6 years. "
