Col di Sasso, which translates to "Stony Hill," is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Sangiovese grapes cultivated on the most rocky and impervious slopes of the Banfi estate in Montalcino, Tuscany.

Typically harvested in early October, each grape variety is vinified separately. The Sangiovese imparts body, while stainless steel aged Cabernet Sauvignon adds fruit and structure.

Col di Sasso is a youthful red to be enjoyed with grilled or roasted meats, poultry, or as an ideal accompaniment to pasta with meat sauce and mildly piquant cheeses.

I had this wine for the first time at the Food & Wine Festival in EPCOT. It went great with prosciutto. It was also a fantastic compliment to a pasta & meat dish. An inexpensive wine that is most satisfying. We purchased some to bring home with us, but now I can buy it from the site for $5 cheaper than in EPCOT.

My all time favorite wine! This has been hard to find in CA so we've tried many local reds which have come close, but have not equaled the gentle berry flavors and the perfectly smooth finish of the Col di Sasso. A versatile wine with a fantastic price making it a great everyday selection.
