Winemaker's Notes

Intense deep ruby red color with shades of violet. Splendid olfactory intensity with hints of forest berries, iris, other flowers and spices. Warm and reasonably soft on the palate, the impact is elegant and very fresh, with mature tannins and a return to the flavor of floral, fruity notes.

Very persistent with a generous aftertaste. Recommended serving temperature: 18°C

Critical Acclaim

"Badia a Coltibuono is an amazing estate that offers a 360-degree Tuscan experience: accommodation, a great country restaurant, a cooking course and organic farming. Part of that package is wine that always reflects the best of Tuscan tradition. This Riserva offers smoked aromas of wild berry, pressed flowers and almond nut."

Learn About Badia a Coltibuono Map ItMap It

Badia a Coltibuono, or "The Abbey of good harvest," lies in the heart of the Chianti Classico area, between Florence and Siena. The Abbey is approximately two thousand years old, but history records date the property back to the Etruscan civilizations of the 3rd century BC. Today, the estate is composed of vineyards, chestnut, walnut and olive trees, all of them lying on one of the best sites in the Chianti area, where the soil is very rich and the climate is mild and sunny all year round. Badia a Coltibuono is very proud to produce some of Tuscany's finest and most noble wines.
