Winemaker's Notes

A harmonious wine in which the floral aromas of the Loureiro grape variety are merged to perfection with the tropical notes of the Alvarinho. The result is a complex, elegant wine with a long, persistent after-taste in the mouth.

Critical Acclaim

"Careful viticulture takes the fruit of this estate-grown wine into bright scents of lime, white rose and pink grapefruit, with a mouthwatering persistence of flavor that sets it apart. It's easy to drink a lot of this, chilled for a June wedding or July at the shore. I know of no other wine in the world that offers the pleasures of this white for anything close to $9. Best Buy."

I really enjoyed this wine. The crisp flavor was reminiscent of green grapes. It has a very fresh and light flavor. It's completely drinkable alone because even though it was a little dry it was still quite sweet. It also paired well with the cheese dip I had with it.

Style: Light & Crisp
Refreshing, crisp , slightly sparkling and light pairs with a sandwich for lunch, the 19th hole, fish, middle eastern food and my wife. She will not pick any other in the cellar if we have Aveleda Vinho Verde present.

Style: Light & Crisp
This wine has a fizz that reminds me of pop rocks. I have enjoyed other Vinho verdes more, as I do find this one lacks the minerality that I prefer. It may be that the effervescence masks some of the depth of flavor. Anyways, still a nice wine with traditional yellow-green fruit and crisp finish.
