"The 1999 Merlot Napa (4% Cabernet Sauvignon is included in the blend) is a knockout effort. It exhibits a saturated purple color as well as a sweet perfume of black cherry liqueur, smoke, cola, and earth. The wine is lavishly fruity, medium to full-bodied, low in acidity, pure, and sexy. It will drink beautifully for 10-12 years."

I bought this on the Old vs New promotion. Now I'm drinking down the $39 french (old) I bought with it and putting this less expensive (new) wine away for a while since it is too precious to consume too quickly.

This is a fantastic bottle of merlot, when i poured it in the glass it was a dark, rich purple. This is better than most merlot's I pay $30+ for, and will probably age longer than any of them too.
