I had my doubts as I sampled the first bottle, but I have received many complements when I have shared this with friends. It is a Carneros Pinot of the first order.
smooth and peppery finish for a Pinot; fruit on the finish
Big & Bold
Tasted twice ~ Although still quite fruity it at least tasted like a Pinot Noir this time (vs. A Sirah last time). It had the Pinot nose that I can never get enough of. The additional year was kind to this wine, and I think it had another year or two left in it if one desired to wait. It did trail off slightly toward the end of the bottle, so I believe we opened it at the right time. Good stuff, but I'm still a bigger fan of the old-world style.
not bad; pretty good to ok
