A good wine to keep you and your guests happy without breaking your wallet. I noticed the nutty flavors more than the melon. Not the best I've had but certainly not the worst, a reasonable choice!

My wife and I are new to wine and have just begun to appreciate how diverse wine can be. Our experience from our younger years was limited to "wine in a box" at college parties. I myself have even gone so far as to say I hate wine and will never drink it. So much for these remarks. Here are my thoughts on the 1997 Reserve Chardonnay from Argyle. The wine was a wonderfully clear golden yellow with an aroma which reminded me of butterscotch. It was smooth and full in taste and I could swear that I tasted some good old kentucky bourbon in the wine. Very warm and buttery. The wine was not overly sweet and was full of flavor.
