Intense ruby red in color which is typical of Monica. Persistent nose of ripened fruit. On the palate the wine is round with firm tannins and a sweetish aftertaste of the varietal. Very vibrant and rustic. Recommended with roasted meats, particularly pork.

Aged in French oak for six months prior to bottling, it exhibits dense garrigue, pepper, cassis, and cherry characteristics intermixed with a loamy soil undertone. Corpulent, fleshy, mouthfilling, and savory, it should be drunk over the next 1-2 years. "
