Multidimensional on the nose, with berries, leather and flowers, but soon turns to grilled meat and very ripe fruit. Full-bodied, with a firm, yet balanced palate, with lots of ripe, almost raisin character and chewy tannins. This goes on for a long time. Big and powerful. It needs time. Best after 2005. 1,200 cases made. (JS)
