Notes of espresso roast, graphite, black currants, sweet black cherries and earthy, loamy terroir are all present in this dense purple, full-bodied, exuberant, concentrated and expressive Cabernet Sauvignon. It can be drunk now or cellared for two decades."

Remarkably different from the 2006 vintage. The 2006 was sweet the 2007 not so. Creme de cassis prevailed in the 2006, currant dominated the palate in the 2007. Those with whom I shared the 2007 noted hints of dark chocolate and cedar. Both showed rich berry flavors and well integrated tannins, with lovely silky finishes leaving me wanting for more. Both were enjoyable now and should drink better with age.

For such a highly rated vino, I (and my companion) expected more. I found it pretty underwhelming, lacking that boutique Napa cab 'OOMPH!". And I Love less fruity wines and drink a ton of Italians. If this is all you get nowadays for $80 bucks from Napa...then Napa needs some fixin'! Not sure what those folks at Wine Spectator are drinking, but I think they need to get out more. Caveat: I'm not a big Malbec fan and there is some in this blend.
