After much anticipation the 2006 Altamura Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon has been released! Following in the footsteps of its predecessors, the 2006 vintage is ripe and concentrated with the intense Wooden Valley fruit that you've come to love.
"A brilliant 2006, with gorgeous, rich, supple and juicy blackberry-laced Cabernet flavors that are bold and intense, yet supple and refined, with complex mocha, roasted herb, espresso and anise flavors that combine power with finesse. Drink now through 2020. 3,000 cases made."
"The 2006 Cabernet Sauvignon (100% Cabernet Sauvignon) possesses aromas of creme de cassis, white chocolate, espresso roast, dusty, loamy soil, and a full-bodied structure. With rich, powerful flavors that cascade over the palate as well as beautiful purity and depth, it will be even better with another 2-4 years of cellaring, and is capable of lasting 20-25 years.
The Wine Advocate
Big & Bold
A rich and inviting nose! Positively jammy, filling the palate with succulent berry flavors. The fruit and the tannins were well balanced, giving way to a silky, lingering finish. If you can find it, it is a must buy! I know I will buy again if it can be found.

Established in 1985 by Frank and Karen Altamura, Altamura Vineyards and Winery is the sole winery situated in the historical farming region of Wooden Valley, located within the eastern foothills of famed Napa Valley. Altamura is the first to capture the unique characteristics of Wooden Valley in a bottling. Napa native Frank and Karen have a decidedly hands-on approach to every step of the growing and winemaking process. Thus, a natural production limit is established and the wines reflect the Altamuras' deep commitment to reflecting the terroir of their Wooden Valley Ranch.
