Alexander Valley Vineyards Sin Zin Zinfandel 2004
Zinfandel
from Sonoma County, California
winemaker's notes:
Varietally distinct, this 27th release of Sin Zin captures the true essence of Alexander Valley. The fruit is sourced from a variety of vineyards with differing microclimates. This provides winemaker Kevin Hall with an array of unique parcels of fruit. Once vinified, these parcels are blended together and then allowed to mature in French and American oak for 10 months.

I found this wine in a small restaurant in town that offers 1/2 off bottled wines on Mondays. This wine is the best for the price. The taste is peppery yet sweet at the same time and goes great with any meal (I drank it with a salad). I just wish I could find it at the wine stores in town!

For the price, this is one of the best wines I've had all year! I cannot advise any meals to go along with it though, because it's too much of a joy all by itself! Zinfandel is treasure to me, and this one ranks right up there with $50 brands!
