Sweet, dense and lush, with compelling fleshy ripeness supported by a firm spine of acidity. Slight hint of tarry oak. Finishes very long and ripe, with fine tannins and strong, spicy oak. This wine is routinely among the most aromatically explosive syrahs from California, but this vintage also delivers terrific depth of flavor and seamless texture."
