Its very strong, rustic and different. It is made from grapes that are the same as in my Grampas backyard. Worth trying though.
I had this pork scalopinni and mushrooms (basically a marsalla sauce) and it was a great match with the rich sauce.
My current stint in South America has forced me to indulge in some young, but tasty South American wines. From Peru, to Chile, to Colombia you will find greater consistency with Argentine wines. Alamos amongst them. When given some time to breath both the Malbec and the Cabernet prove to be richly flavored treats to the palate.
