winemaker's notes:

"Saturated and extracted, with an incredibly deep purple tint paving the way for manly aromas of espresso, campfire and toasted coconut. The palate, meanwhile, runs a bit sweet, with boysenberry and plum. Soft on the back end, but with enough spine to see it through. For fans of bold reds."
-Wine Enthusiast

Aromas of tea, leather and blackberry explode from this dense and smokey malbec. It possesses the concentration and textrue of a baby bordeaux with fruit, beefy tannins and full flavor on the mid palette.

Food Pairing
The perfect food wine to accompany smoked meats, hearty tomato-based Italian dishes or other full-flavored cuisine.

I first started drinking wines from South America when I met my husband 10 years ago. I was a bit worried since I am a very picky wine drinker. I only drink bold red wines and no other (which is a habbit my husband is trying to break me of) In my travels I have found Australian wine to be one of my favorite but I was quite shocked that now I love South American wine just as well. This wine was bold yet not too passive with it's taste. It had a bite so I recommend it with only a strong dish by its side. Something full of spice would be great. I thought the first glass was not that satisfying but after letting it breathe for about 15 minutes I am glad I became a fan. The aromas where wonderfully fruity but the taste made a strong statement. I did not find it tasting too much of berries which I enjoyed.

Had my first taste of Alamos Malbec (2002) while on a visit to Buenos Aires. Excellent robust flavor with a fruity aftertaste. You can't beat it for the price.

Kosher wine
Kosher
A Kosher wine begins like every other - as grapes on a vine. Once they reach the winery for crushing, the wine is under strict rabbinal supervision.
Screw Cap wine
Screw Cap
Many studies report and winemakers agree that screw caps protect wine better and preserve its flavor more effectively than cork. More importantly, screw caps eliminate cork taint caused by TCA, a compound which develops in a small percentage of corks and ruins the taste of wine.
Green wine
Green Wines
Wines that use sustainable, organic and/or biodynamic practices in the vineyard and/or winemaking process. We rely on a number of U.S. and International certifications to qualify wines "green."
Collectible wine
Collectible
These wines will improve from additional bottle age, when properly stored, and may show the greatest potential to increase in value.
Great Wine Gifts
Great Wine Gifts
These selected wines make impressionable gifts for wine enthusiasts and oenophiles alike.
Boutique Wines
Boutique Wines
These wines are made in limited quantities and are typically produced from single vineyard sources or made by small, artisanal wineries. While the winery may produce larger quantities, we limit wines with this designation to a 1,000 case production.
