Adelsheim Elizabeth's Reserve Pinot Noir (1.5L) 1996

Classic Lizzie flavors abound, evoking many spices from the Indian end of the rack -cinnamon, nutmeg, cardamom, etc. As the vines have gotten older, the wine gets more structure, but the gentle handling had produced a graceful, elegant Pinot Noir. Given proper storage conditions, the wine should have at least a decades ageability. Since the above flavors seem particularly autumnal, we often recommend earther foods to go with this wine... winter stews, root veggies, and mushrooms, but this wine will also marry well with classic pairings for the variety, such as lamb and grilled salmon.
