This wine is deep garnet and, though neither fined nor filtered, is clear. Aromas of raspberries, red and black cherries, and currants are held in harmony with those of hazelnuts, peppercorns, sage and mahogany. The mouth is deceiving. Entering softly and sweetly, then riding lean and focused with dark chocolate textures from middle to finish. Experience tells us that we need to be patient with this wine. Wines that are not completely fruit dominated tend to lead fascinating lives in the bottle. Set aside plenty and enjoy its many changing personalities.
