Acacia Carneros Chardonnay 1999
from Carneros, California
The Carneros blend is full of what makes Carneros Chardonnay distinct. Regional aromas of grapefruit, ripe bananas, and pineapple are balanced with those of yeast, honey, vanilla, toasted coconut, and pie crust. Flavors of ripe tropical fruit, toasted oak, and yeast are suspended within a structure that is rich and lengthy. This is not a delicate wine by any means. Pair the 1997 Carneros Chardonnay with lighter pork or veal dishes, any fish or fowl, root vegetables and gratins, or any creamed pasta dishes.

Received my first bottle of Acacia Chardonnay as a gift and just loved it. I keep a log of the wines I taste and this one is high on my white list. It's creamy with hints of citrus and a medium body. Very smooth and easy to sip. We recently took a bottle over to our neighbors for dinner. They raved about it and wrote the name down.

I absolutely LOVE this chardonnay! It has a smooth, buttery taste, and it's not too light. I was never a big fan of Chardonnays, as the ones I'd tried were always a bit bitter. This is a great wine. I've seen it for $20-25 a bottle, so this is a good price. :)
