winemaker's notes:
"Best Pinot Noir Under $20" -
Food & Wine
Great clear ruby Pinot Noir color. A beautiful cornucopia of fresh ripe red fruits immediately jumps out from the nose. Sweet dark ripe raspberries, violets, fresh spices, lavender, hints of oak and cassis emerge after the initial blast of fruit. The wine is most obviously very ripe, perfumed, heady and redolent of high-toned notes of bright red fruits. The aromatics herald the wine as an archetypical ripe Oregon Pinot Noir. As the wine enters the mouth a sweet lush entry leads to an integrated succulent attack. Harmonious ripe tannins lift the wine and add great balance to the copious fruit. Good ripe acidity for structure in the wine pulls the wine together gives it great length and defines it as a classic elegant Oregon Pinot Noir.

A Customer - San Diego
I can believe that I will recommend a “screw top” wine but here it is! This is one of the best Pinot Noirs that I had under $20.00. It was a hit for my Christmas Day dinner. It complimented the Lamb cacciatore to perfection. The sauce accompanying the lamb was light so beware of the tomato acidity if you chose this wine, it could overpower the fine blackberry taste mixed with earthy and oak undertones.
