A. Mano Puglia Primitivo 2001
Primitivo
from Southern Italy, Italy
winemaker's notes:
Think of this wine as old vine Zinfandel at an amazingly good price! Hand-crafted from indigenous Primitivo grapes (the original source for Zinfandel by the way...) it burst with dark, spicy ripe fruit. Another great value from Southern Italy!
Called A•Mano ("hand-made"), this fruit-packed, food-friendly red expresses the region's quality potential, and the reasons for Mark's Apulian connection.
What you get can only be characterful duo of Primitivo Puglia IGT reds with fruit you can chew on, supple body, fresh acidity: "just the kind of wine the consumer wants to drink, and drink again."

Incredible wine! I discovered this wine tonight at a local restaurant. They did not have enough to sell me a case. I just happen to stumble across this website and find the exact wine as a special. I have ordered a case as a gift! Highly recommended! A++

This was quite a surprise. Getting a bottle of this right around $10 is amazing. Smooth and full bodied. I will definitely be ordering this again!
