Wine Rutherford Cabernet Sauvignon

Our Cabernet Sauvignon is grown in the historic Rutherford region of the Napa Valley, first planted by Thomas Rutherford in the 1800s. This elegant, voluptuous wine demonstrates the distinctiveness of the appellation with dark cherry and blackberry fruit flavors and typical "Rutherford Dust" notes of cocoa on the finish.

The nose is sweet, focused and pure with ripe blackberry, raspberry and currant aromatics and an underlying sense of minerality. The palate is classically styled with pretty fruit and ripe tannins. We used about 40% new oak with this wine, mostly French with a tiny bit of Hungarian with a low to medium toast to lift the fruit. The result ...
