Sophisticated Sonoma County Red Wine

Bright aromas of blackberry, red currant, cassis and hints of cedar box are inviting on this Sonoma County Cabernet Sauvignon. The wine is concentratedand structured with a plush fruit core of dark berry fruit. The palate is roundand full and with a lingering finish.

In 2002 we planted two Syrah vineyards, Rodgers Creek and Shanel, because we know the northern Rhone model, love it, and are convinced that cool-climate, coastal California Syrahs rival those of the Rhone. Not in the future, but now.

Clean, pure red fruit on the nose, highlighting pie aromas of cherry, strawberry and plum. There is an exotic quality with elements of baking spice and subtle Asian notes, most notably cardamom. The palate enters with a smooth round richness andfinishes with balanced cleansing acidity.
